Walt Disney World’s “Star Wars” land will be previewed by some annual passholders before its grand opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park on Aug. 29, the company said Monday.
Disney’s Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Annual Passholders will have “special preview opportunities” for the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area, according to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog.
“Capacity is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis,” the post reads.
The item does not give dates for the previews. It says that registration details will be given “at a later date.”
The first Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened at Disneyland in California on May 31. Both versions – said to be identical – will feature rides called Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and, eventually, an attraction called Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

The Bring-A-Friend offer, in which Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Passholders can buy a one-day theme park tickaet that with the park hopper option for $89. This deal is good through Aug. 8. Tickets must be bought at theme-park ticket windows and used on the date of purchase (limit six per passholder during the promotion).
Passholders can buy a Summer Splash Pass, which gives unlimited visits to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon between July 5 and Sept. 7 for $69. (Buy tickets at the water parks’ ticket windows.)

There’s a 20 percent discount for select table-service restaurants at Disney World for passholders through July 2. It’s good between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and valid for the passholder and up to three guests. Participating are 15 eateries within the four theme parks and eight more in resort hotels.
