A Tampa boy wanted to spend his money on something more important to him than either toys or games - a pay raise for his 3rd grade teacher, according to a report by WFLA.

Parker Williams, 9, wanted to do something nice for his Gorrie Elementary School teacher who, in his words, has the most important job, WFLA reported.

So, Parker took $15 of his birthday money and attached a note to it:

“DEAR MRS. CHAMBERS, I DON’T THINK THAT TEACHERS GET PAID ENOUGH FOR WHAT THEY DO, SO, WILL YOU ACCEPT THIS GIFT?"

Mrs. Chambers, reportedly touched by the kind gesture, returned the money with her own note saying that she couldn’t accept the generous gift, but that students like him are the reason why she teaches.
