Give the gift of the great outdoors — and just in time for Florida’s glorious winter weather. You know, that blue skies, sunny days weather with which we taunt our Northern friends and family members when it’s bleak, gray and frigid there. Your gift recipient can enjoy our tropical winter to the fullest with a Florida State Parks annual pass. The pass is $60 for an individual and $120 for families (up to eight people) and provides access to almost 200 state parks, trails and historic sites.
Is your best pal a beach-aholic? There are 44 parks with sandy shores. Or perhaps your best friend is of the furry kind? Eighty-six parks allow pets. Hiker? Find trails galore at 157 parks. Camper? More than 59 parks from which to choose. Mountain biker? There are 41 parks with miles of trails.
It’s safe to say that no matter the favorite outdoor activity, a Florida state park has it covered.
Here’s a bit more about the pass options:
? Individual Annual Entrance Pass — $60: Additional persons accompanying the pass holder are $2 per person admission except at Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, where the standard admission fee will apply.
